A.G.M. and Lunch - 20th February 2020
On behalf of President Roddy and his committee, we wish you all, A Happy and Healthy New Year.
Our first lunch of 2019 will be held in The City of Music Studio / The Green Room, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
The A.G.M. will start at 11.15 to give us time to complete the Club business before our guests arrive. There will be agendas available on the day together with minutes of the 2019 meeting.
Guests at 12.00 noon, please, so that the most recent successful WSET students we have sponsored, can be presented with their certificates, when we sit but before we eat.
The full menu and the wine selection are on the reverse of this circular and your Committee is sure that you will enjoy the Lunch and wines. Please advise of any dietary issues. The Concert Hall chef has chosen a more traditional menu than we normally have.
We hope that there will be a good turnout for this very special AGM and Lunch and we look forward to seeing the membership in our Glasgow Home.
Gentlemen members, as always, are required to wear an accepted Club tie and a jacket. Please let your guests know that there is a dress code.
As usual, there will be a raffle. Any prize donations to enhance the ones put up by the Club will be most welcome. Unwanted Christmas presents, maybe?
Fliers and brochures for 2020 were sent out with the 2019 Christmas Lunch circular. There is a reminder enclosed with this notice. Please diary the dates so that you do not double book any Club event day. 2020 lunches are “not to be missed” occasions.
We have moved on with our Club neckwear and new style ties are now available. Actually, “retro style” as these are copies of the 2nd ever Club ties and are back in fashion as “slim line” ones. This time though, they are made of silk. These ties are at the same price as the most recent, previous issue. Viz £20. Red for members and blue for Past Presidents and Speakers.
There are also lapel / pin badges now available for a very attractive price of £7.50 each.
